Ghostbusters’ newest installment just got its’ first trailer, and we’re 100 percent here for the wild ride. Ghostbusters Afterlife will serve as a direct sequel to 1989’s Ghostbusters II. Follows a single mom and her two kids after they inherit a farm in a small town from a grandfather they never knew. The family of three begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters. The secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The brief teaser released on Jan. 16 only gave fans an idea that the upcoming film would be remaining true to the original storyline. But the full trailer is a nostalgic-filled step into the modern age that has us hooked.
The footage stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace as the aforementioned family of three. With Paul Rudd already winning us over as Summer school teacher named Mr. Grooberson. He’ll be serving as the characters’ gateway to the past since he just so happens to be a Ghostbusters fanatic. Watch the trailer above and get ready to tangle with some ghosts when Afterlife comes out July 10.
